Pediatric Hematology and Oncology

The Division of Pediatric Hematology and Oncology, one of the 10 largest programs of its kind in the U.S., provides care in the Pauline Allen Gill Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders at Children’s Medical Center Dallas. At Clements University Hospital Newborn Nursery and Texas Health Resources Presbyterian Hospital, we offer general hematology consultations. The Division also shares close ties and resources with UT Southwestern’s Harold C. Simmons Comprehensive Cancer Center, the only National Cancer Institute-designated comprehensive cancer center in North Texas.

Our faculty, fellows, and more than 100 support and administrative staff work together to fulfill a four-fold mission:

  • To diagnose and care for infants, children, and adolescents with cancer and hematologic disorders
  • To educate medical students, residents, fellows, and other trainees, as well as provide continuing education to practicing physicians
  • To conduct clinical, translational, and laboratory research aimed at improving and extending our knowledge about blood diseases and cancer
  • To advocate on behalf of the patients and families we serve
